Found in the Mediterranean, and commonly referred to as the rusty foxglove. Rosettes of dark green leaves produce tall, erect spikes of golden brown flowers with inner veins a reddish, rusty brown.
A short-lived perennial, so it is best to leave the flower spike standing once flowering is over, to allow the plant to naturally self-seed and produce more plants in your garden.
Often recommended for part-shade areas in the garden, however in our personal opinion this plant performs much better in full sun conditions, and tolerates drought well.
