Lilac flowers with maroon/purple centres, formed in sprays above gently spreading carpets of foliage. A long season of interest with flowers potentially being produced from early September, through into November. The foliage can also take on quite attractive tints of colour as autumn progresses.
A useful Symphyotrichum, because of its tolerance for being placed in less than ideal conditions. It will grow well in sun or part-shade, and can cope with quite dry conditions once established.
A favorite plant at the nursery.
